Since 2002, Clallam and Jefferson County Weed Boards have worked with the U.S. Forest Service to control weeds on Forest Service land in the two counties. This work has been funded through the Secure Rural Schools Act; the funding has also been used to support both counties' weed programs, and to control weeds that are not yet on National Forest lands but could spread there.
Both counties release a report each year with details of their work.
